Mommy PR giveaways
It's been a while but here's my latest list of awesome giveaways over at MommyPR!
Supermarket Smarty: For those of us who go to the store with shopping list in hand, coupons in container... and manage to drop, spill, or generally lose track of them, the Supermarket Smarty should be a lifesaver!
Joanie Leeds CD: Joannie Leeds is a rocker who's doing some cool kids' music. I LOVE being able to listen to my son's music without wanting to immediately scream because it's absolutely insipid and cloying!
Sleep Number Comforter: And you thought Sleep Number only made mattresses! Now they make comforters that you can actually custom fill so one half is different than the other- both the warmth level and fill content are customizable!
NOVICA GC ($75): Novica is a "hands-on" company associated with National Geographic. I want to include this comment from the site:
Fantasy Jewelry Box GC ($50): If you like what the stars wear on the red carpet, you're going to LOVE Fantasy Jewelry Box! It's all made of CZs and non-precious stones so you look like a million bucks but it doesn't cost nearly that!
Waggaloo CD: Another music CD for the kids. Smithsonian Folkways Recordings has put out this great CD by Sarah Lee Guthrie and family (and friends... including Arlo Guthrie and Pete Seeger!) Did I mention I like kids' music I can listen to?
Tortoise & Hare: This is a reading of the Tortoise in the Hare for the kiddies from Maestro Classics. Perfect for the long car trips!!
Tony Horton: If you're the one person not trying to lose weight and get in shape, ignore this. Otherwise... :) This giveaway is for "Workout One on One with Tony Horton, Volume 1." It's 13 discs of butt (and abs and arms and... ) kicking workouts that you can finish more quickly than his extensive P90X workouts (yeah, same guy!) The really neat thing is that you only get one disc a month so you can use it to supplement your other workouts and ease into it rather than being suddenly overwhelmed with 13 discs at once.

Temporal Thermometer Giveaways!
When my son managed to land himself in the E.R. last year on Super Bowl Sunday evening (it was at least empty at that time!), the nurse who took his temperature used a small device that he just swept over L's forehead. I was blown away that it took his temp accurately in a matter of seconds! We've been using a digital thermometer that while quick, gives readings several degrees off of one another within a minute! It turns out that these thermometers are becoming available to us in many stores (~$30-50) and there are several sites giving away Exergen Temporal Theremometers right now From my experience, these are definitely giveaways worth checking out!! (btw- My son was fine- he was just dealing with a go-home bout of RSS.)

UPDATE 3/22- Still MORE giveaways added! Spring Cleaning Giveaway Event!
A Bittersweet Existence and There's No Snakes in New Zealand have put together an absolutely ROCKIN' giveaway in honor of SPRING CLEANING (hey, Spring Cleaning has to be glamorous somehow!)
The giveaways end in a range of dates from Mar. 22-29.
The giveaways are:
Post-its pack- a variety of Post-its for organizing your everything!
Rubbermaid Junk Drawer Organizer- interlocking containers for the junk drawer we all have! (Come on! Don't deny it! It really could use a could clean out couldn't it?)
SKOY cloth- a reusable, washable cloth to replace our dependence on the paper towel (whoo hoo! Less in the landfill... and a little sexier than the rags of tshirts we use at our house!)
A Clean Happens natural cleaners starter pack- a great variety pack of cleaning supplies made with all-natural ingredients rather than the typical chemicals found in most cleaners (imagine a world with no child-proof locks!)
A Haan Steam Cleaner- The Haan cleaner you can use anywhere and everywhere (I told you it was ROCKIN'!)
Knock Knock Note Pads- Knock Knock is a company with a bit of a wicked sense of humor. Take a look at their site for an idea of how far it can go. Their items range from sticky pads and filing folders to shopping bags to baby shower and kids' bingo cards, all with a tongue in cheek approach to life.
Shaklee Get Clean Starter Kit: I'm not overly familiar with Shaklee's cleaning supplies but I'm willing to give green cleaners a try and this is a doozy of a starter kit!
Chef'n SleekStorTM Colander- What's better to save space than something that's generally large but can collapse? Chef'n has a silicone colander that has not only folding legs but a collapsible bowl. I personally really like my other silicone kitchen tools and I think this is a brilliant idea!
A Hoover Carpet Cleaner- A Hoover Platinum Collection Carpet Cleaner, also for anywhere and everywhere! (I told you it was ABSOLUTELY ROCKIN'!)

Giveaways ending soon
6 readers are each going to get 6 pieces of Rosa's Fudge over at Living Smart Girl. Rosa's has 22 flavors and they look FANTASTIC! With that many flavors, you can find the typical ones like Chocolate, Maple, and Peanut Butter and uncommon ones such as Chocolate Coffee, Chocolate Strawberry, and Pina Colada.
Living Smart Girl is also giving away 2 "Out of the Box" samplers. This is a sampler of all kinds of handmade goodies from a variety of different companies (think candles, bath products, cat toys, snacks, etc.) This giveaway is great if you're a blogger because to enter, you have to put a link to this giveaway on your blog and let YOUR readers know that they too can enter by re-blogging, much as I'm doing here. :) After you blog, you just leave a comment with your blog link on LSG's post.
Gone Coupon Crazy is doing 10 weeks of giveaways and this is the first week. This week's winner will get a great tote bag (I know, I've bought two of them!) filled with a surprise! Definitely something to check out and keep an eye on the next few months!
MNMSpecial has a $35 Jiffy Lube gift card to giveaway. Who COULDN'T use that?! There's a quick and rather handy quiz you'll take over at Jiffy Lube's website to enter this one and personally, I'd suggest taking it even if you're NOT entering the giveaway. It definitely has some eye-opening info!
Skin MD Natural is giving away a great looking Valentine's basket full of their products. This one really appeals to me because of my eczema! Skin MD has some products that are supposed to work well for skin conditions such as that.
The Musing Mommies do a weekly blogcast and are giving listeners a chance to win a mystery box. You just need to listen to a podcast and leave a review on iTunes as to what you think. I personally think you'll be back for more! They're entertaining, informative and most importantly to me, down-to-earth.
44th Street Fabric, a nice etsy shop, is giving away 3yds of cute fabrics for a reader who takes part in a VERY quick scavenger hunt (think 3min).
Dandy Giveaway is giving a reader a $25 GC to the Homestead Company, a natural skincare company. I was just looking at their site and would have NO problem spending $25. They've got a nice range of products from diaper creams to lotions to spa items.
The Trendy Treehouse is giving away a copy of Wordtoons. It introduces doodling where you doodle a word into a picture of what the word represents. (Picture turning the word "dog" into a picture of a dog.) This is a great one for parents working with kids on new words!

Upcoming MommyPR giveaways
Fraiche: Talk about some FANTASTIC looking bath items. The scents at Fraiche run the gammut from Bare Naked to Squeaky Clean to Hu-la and everything in between! The winner gets 3 bars of soap and triple with 3 swizzles of their choice!
Tech4o Accelerator Watch: It's a great-looking watch by Tech4o that records your step-count for the day, a great idea if you're trying to lose weight (no, not me! never! well... maybe a pound or 40...) It actually stores up to 10 days of workout history and even "calibrates your walking and running stride for an even more accurate record and approximate number of calories burned!" NICE! And it's pretty sexy to boot!
Fundex Games Set: It's set of 3 Fundex games for a range of ages. There's Musical Hot Potato, which we all know but now has been "formalized" and takes care of the music by itself, Mouse Match, a cute color matching game, and A to Z, Jr. a great word game.
Gourmet Basket: This is for the winner's choice of 3 great looking spa-type baskets by GourmetGiftBaskets.com. The choices are Bath & Snack, Complete Hand Care, and Complete Foot Care. It's a hard one to choose and these are only 3 of an enormous number of baskets they have available!
BabyPop Cape: I have to say, I'd LOVE to get a BabyPop Cape for Liam! These are SO cute for ANY kid that likes to dress up as some sort of superhero. While the giveaway is for a cape, they also have matching masks, gloves and tshirts to make the ensemble complete! Awesome!
Wonder Hangers (+ Twin Draft Guard!): Here's something that would definitely help clean up those cluttered closets! (Again, not that I'd know ANYTHING about that! I'm simply a source of information! Really! You're not buying it are you?) Essentially, you hang the Wonder Hangers out on your closet rod, hang 5 items from them, and then remove one end from the rod. The result is that instead of everything hanging on the rod, 80% of your items now hang down from one point, helping to consolidate it.
Twin Draft Guard (+ Wonder Hangers!): The Twin Draft Guard doesn't just sit by the edge of your window to block drafts, it actually goes under the window and sandwiches the bottom edge to fully block the draft from both the outside and inside. This would be great for any house that has windows that don't have perfect seals.
Thymes Body Products: This is for a pack of what look like 4 great products by Thymes: Essentials Hand Lotion, Essentials Foot Scrub, a Bath Salts Envelope, and a Triple-Milled Soap. These are all made with essential oils and natural ingredients!
All Angel Gifts: All Angel Gifts sells worry stones that are hand-painted and finished. They come in a range of designs from religious angels and crosses to 4-leaf clovers to ones that you customize with your own photo.
Finn McCool and S is for Shamrock: MommyPR frequently has drawings for Sleepy Bear Press books and here's another one. 4 winners will receive either Finn McCool and the Great Fish or S is for Shamrock: An Ireland Alphabet (2 winners for each book). I've won several of the Sleepy Bear Press books and love them all. While Liam's a bit young for several of them, I can't wait to introduce them to him because they're such engaging stories and alphabets and illustrated beautifully!
Wat-aah Gift Set: Wat-aah is a line of premium waters for kids! The intent is to help with the issue of youth obesity by getting kids to drink something other than sugared beverages. The water comes in 4 varieties (Brain, Bones, Energy & Body) and has a loud-mouthed cartoon kid as a spokesperson- something all kids should be able to get into.
Miss Oops Butter Hands: What can you say but, "It's like buh-tah!" Miss Oops' Butter Hands is a buttery lotion that helps moisturize dry skin. As a side note, I highly suggest taking a look at the Miss Oops site and reading the product names and descriptions for a good chuckle.

Valentine's Day Card
The pink and red papers are from Stampin' Up (PLEASE don't ask me what colors they are!) The black spotted paper is from an MME pack. The hearts were cut on my Cricut from the "George" cartridge, stamped with SU's "Antique Background" and embossed with a shimmery/silvery clear powder. They were then sliced apart with Sizzix's "Puzzle Maker 2". The text was printed on the computer and though it's hard to see, the one red puzzle piece and the sentiment are popped off the card with dimensionals.

Upcoming MommyPR Giveaways
Have I mentioned how much I love MommyPR and the great ladies who run it?!
Cuties Clementines: These look delish and they're in an ultra-cute stocking to boot! Liam has recently been on a clementine kick and can easily down 2 or 3 at a sitting. I'm sure he could do more but I prefer to limit him. :) Unfortunately, no stores in this area carry California Cuties but you should definitely see if they're in your neck of the woods.
Kid's craft kit of winner's choice. Creativity for Kids makes some amazing craft kits for the kids and they're not just for the olders ones. There are some felt and cloth based kits for the younger set.
Luna Bars Gift Pack: I didn't realize Luna now had fantastic flavors like Chocolate Raspberry and Chocolate Peppermint!
Avery Holiday Pack: Avery has put together a pack of holiday-related items including the Avery Holiday Wizard and Stretchable Fabric Transfers. It sounds like you can do a lot with this one!
Holiday Gift Pack: Lollipop Rascals is a great site full of wonderful items and gift sets for kids, all arranged by themes like space, safari, and holiday. It's definitely somewhere I'll keep in mind for kid's presents in the future!
Illuminated Jet Bib: This one should catch the attention of anyone who has a hard time getting the attention of a little one while trying to get them to eat. Think Geek has made a bib with an illuminated runway on it. Of course, this wouldn't mean much except that the fork has a plane for the handle.
HealthMaster: This looks like quite the appliance. The HealthMaster is a blender, chopper, mixer, and and and. Not only does it blend and chop but apparently you can make a hot soup in it, start to finish. Wow!
There are also several giveaways on MommyPR for Pressman Toys' games:
Silly Socks: I'm quoting directly from MommyPR- this sounds like a blast for the little ones! "Each player gets three silly socks to start. On your turn take an item from the washing machine. If it’s a sock that matches one of your three, put the pair in your laundry basket. But be careful! If you pull out a pair of pants you’ll lose one turn until you can try for silly socks again. The first player to collect three matching pairs wins. For 2 to 4 players, ages 3 to 5."
Rummikub for Kids: "The first Rummikub game especially designed for young kids, with 3 levels of play to keep up with them! Develops number and color recognitions skills and logical reasoning. A clever feature using shapes helps players self-correct their moves."
Splashy the Whale: This one sounds like good, messy fun. "Get ready for an action-packed game with a splash of excitement! On your turn use the fishing rod to take something out of Splashy’s mouth. There are anchors, fishbones, even a submarine. But watch out. If you touch his tongue, he’ll spray you with water. At the end of the game, the player with the most points wins."
Ring Around the Nosy: What kid wouldn't love to put on an elephant mask and see their parents doing the same? "It’s the game that turns you into a playful pachyderm! Spread the rings on the game mat and put on your mask. Then- with your hands behind your back!- try to be the first player to scoop up your color rings using only your trunk. It’s a laugh-out-loud good time for everyone!"
