2nd Birthday page

For some reason, I'm kickin' butt and takin' names when it comes to birthday layouts recently.  Yeah.  Kickin' butt.  Takin' names.  I had to say it.  Dunno why.  Just had to.

This was designed for a Club CK Recipe Challenge: summertime photos, envelope mini album, a transparent element, a monogram (single large letter), and an accent cut from patterned paper.  The summer photos are obvious, the envelope album... I made mini envelopes from cardstock to fit the trimmed photos.  I haven't glued it down because I need to figure out how I want to attach it and cut the page protector so you can get to the photos.  The monogram... I went with a number.  The banner is from patterned paper and the year is under clear fragments.

Ingredients:
Paper: (Blue CS): Michaels, (Yellow DP): Lily Bee Design, (Blue Dark Denim Flourish-Double Dot): BoBunny, (Funfetti-Carnival (banner)): We R Memory Keepers
Stamps: (Brushstroke Numbers): Stampin' Up

GHWI Color Challenge LO

I wanted to share my second Get Hippity with Ippity inspiration project.  The challenge this month is two-fold.  First, the mandatory, a color challenge.  The second, an optional, a wedding/anniversary/engagement theme.  These are the colors and they're GORGEOUS.

Unlike my first project, I didn't go with the optional theme this time.  Instead, I did a scrapbook page just as a reminder that projects don't need to be cards.

I used a Studio Calico sketch for the design.  It's not my usual style but it intrigued me so I thought I'd give it a whirl.  I'm planning to do a 2nd page to go with this one- it feels some what empty and unbalanced to me the way it is but I need to figure out the design first because I'd like to include quite a few more pix on it.

Once more, I used one of my favorite ippity sets- The Best.  The banner stamps worked perfectly with the sketch I used- could have almost been made for it!
Please join us and give this challenge a try.  A random winner will be able to select any ippity set they'd like from Aletha Williams.  Entering the challenge gets you one entry, using an ippity or Unity stamp gets you another.  We'd love to see your work!

Ingredients:
Stamps: (The Best): ippity
Ink: (Summer Sun, Night of Navy, Regal Rose): Stampin' Up
Paper: (Whisper White, Summer Sun, Night of Navy, Regal Rose): Stampin' Up
Misc: (White Mr. Huey, Cardstock stickers): Studio Calico, (Curling Tag): Making Memories, (Brad): Basic Grey,  (Yellow alpha stickers): Jenni Bowlin, DIY twine

Challenges: :
Jessica's Craft Shaque: Something a bit dusty: The small yellow letters came in a kit I received a year and a half ago and have never used.  The title letters were masked from the leftovers of a chipboard alpha set I got at a CKC class last July.

Party Layout

I'm making an effort to get through some of my older photos and to finally get them to paper.  This is a party we went to about 3 years ago so it definitely qualifies.  I tried a bunch of different embellishments but nothing looked right and since the paper is so busy, I left it as is.
Ingredients:
Paper: (Yoyo Yellow, Bashful Blue CS): Stampin' Up, (Scarlet Wallpaper DP): Glitz, (Powder Blue Vintage Double Dot): BoBunny
Misc: (Twine): Divine Twine, (Party Punch): Stampin' Up, (Honey Thickers): American Crafts

Boy in a Box

Non-traditional birthday card

OK. So maybe "Hello" and "Happiness" don't a nomal birthday card make but it's something I think my mom would like and her birthday is coming up quickly so voila!

I saw this FABULOUS card by Nina Bracket.
Not my usual style.  But, neither is Pebbles' "Fresh Goods" line which I won a while back from them.  I love it all, just not my usual with the country, floral look.  However, Nina's card reminded me a lot of the line and I thought it was the perfect time to get it all out and try it- something I've been feeling VERY bad about not doing thus far.  So, here's the result- I'm pretty happy with it and I think mom will love it.  So VOILA!  :)
Ingredients:
Ink: (Night of Navy): Stampin' Up
Cardstock: (Very Vanilla): Stampin' Up
Everything else (Designer paper, Clear stamp, Toothpick flag, Button candy dots, Dimensional sticker, Border sticker, Dimensional butterfly): Pebbles "Fresh Goods" line

About Me scrap page

I've been wanting to do one of these "snapshot in the life" pages and the recent Club CK scraplift challenge gave me reason.  I found a great page that I really wanted to copy so it all fell in place theme-wise.  As for the look, it didn't quite come together- I couldn't find a paper here that had the blue and bright yellow but after looking for longer than I intended, I decided the best thing was to simply finish.  It's the content that matters the most, not if I think it all looks perfect.

Ingredients:
Paper: (Yellow): Unknown, (Brocade Blue, Very Vanilla): Stampin' Up, (Text): October Afternoon, (Floral): DCWV

Rub-ons: (Black serif): Unknown, (Black san-serif): TLC, (Off-white): October Afternoon

GHWI- Color Challenge Engagement Card

I wanted to share my Get Hippity with Ippity inspiration project.  The challenge this month is two-fold.  First, the mandatory, a color challenge.  The second, an optional, a wedding/anniversary/engagement theme.  These are the colors and they're GORGEOUS.

I made this card that I envision to go with an engagement or shower gift.
I don't suppose anyone's surprised that there's fussy cutting. LOL!

I used the flowers from Angie Girl, Dream with Your Heart and a great sentiment from Delightful Little Things.

Please join us in this challenge.  We've changed it this month so that each challenge runs for one month.  That gives you more time to dream up your creations and you're welcome to enter as many times as you'd like.  We'd love it if you'd use an ippity or Unity stamp or four but it's not a requirement though it will get you an extra entry in the end-of-month random prize drawing.

Ingredients:
Stamps: (Angie Girl, Delightful Little Things): ippity

Ink: (Night of Navy, Summer Sun, Regal Rose, Bravo Burgundy): Stampin' Up
Paper: (Night of Navy, So Saffron): Stampin' Up, DSPs: ? (from blog candy)
