Introducing Stampin' Up's Stamparatus

Stampin' Up has finally done it. They've developed their own version of the Misti and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. It has hinged flaps that allow you to keep 4 stamps in play, not just one.

It's being released at the start in a pre-order, staggered launch. It should be in full release in the 2018-19 catalog.

There's a video out there that demos the tool in use. Have a look! If you're interested and have questions, please let me know.

Growing in Unity Blog Hop

Time for the Growing in Unity blog hop! If you remember, back in August I was one of Unity's "Growing in Unity" gals. Every other month there's a hop of the latest GIU gals where we share one final project. For mine, I'm using the set that I received for my GIU week- Pick Your Poison. I've been looking at the set for quite a while and finally decided that it was time to get it.

I made this card, based off of Julie Davison's card, from the fun Pick Your Poison set and American Crafts and Stampin' Up materials.

I hope you enjoy this card and encourage you to hop around to the other sites. Make sure you leave a comment here and at all the other stops- you could be one of the winners!

Gifts for an office-supply loving girly girl

We have a birthday party to attend to tomorrow. The birthday girl is VERY girly and apparently very into office supplies. I don't ask questions. lol! I made her a small selection of girly office supplies: a set of tapes we bought, covered regular sized and mini post-it pads, a labelled jar of multi-colored paperclips, and a post-it on a mini-clipboard. I also made a small bag to hold some purchased push-pins and extra post-it pads.

Projects from my Halloween class

This month I held a Halloween projects class. There was a test tube holder and two cards, one which everyone made, one that participants were able to pick from a few samples. I was having a bad mojo morning so I went and dug around on Pinterest. Instead of finding one card, I found several I cased for samples.

Julie Davison: (please ignore the glue smears below the web. Those have a black bat to cover them in their future. lol!)

My Homegrown Art (no longer a live site)

This one is based off of a card made by my friend LeAnne Pugliese. I saw hers two years ago and have wanted to recreate it ever since.

Projects from my "Small Gifting for the Holidays" class

Last month I held a small gifting class. Yeah. It was last month. It's now the end of this month. I'm a bit late posting this but at least I'm getting it posted! Sheesh! ;)

There were 6 projects in all.
1. Sour cream container (not pictured)
2. Topped sleeve of 3 Hershey's nuggets
3. Star bag
4. Post-it cover
5. Votive/box
6. Gift card holder (not pictured)

I'm planning to make a bunch more of some of these for an upcoming Holiday Bazaar I'll be participating in.

Cards from July's class

I meant to post this the other week but yeah. You know.

I held my first Stampin' Up class last month. It was a birthday card class and while only 2 people came, I think they both had fun and liked the cards we made. They had a choice of pink or blue for the balloon card (one made blue, one made pink as it turned out), they both made the succulents card, and then they had a choice of colors for the final card which was a birthday candle from the Feb. 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit.

I'm hoping to have a few people show up for this weekend's class, Small Holiday Gifting. We'll be making 6 projects- a votive holder, gift card envelope, candy wrap, 2 small boxes and one yet to be determined project.

Growing in Unity Girl Week! Day 5!

Well. This is it. Day 5. Already. It's gone quickly but it was a great experience once again.

Today I did something a bit different. Instead of a card, I made 2 lunchbox notes for my son. I keep saying I'll put these in his lunch but I haven't yet consistently. Maybe this is the year.

I stamped the image and sentiment of the I Loaf You card directly onto a trimmed piece of manila folder, colored it with watercolor pencils and a bit of white gesso. (It was a whole lot closer than my white acrylic paint. lol!)

The lightbulb on the shine card was stamped onto white cardstock and I used a gold watercolor pencil to make the illumination marks. I trimmed it, mounted it on the manila card and stamped the sentiment. Both cards were then trimmed with a bit of washi tape.

I hope I've given you a bit of inspiration this week and you've enjoyed spending a bit of time with me. Don't forget to leave your comments- I'll draw a winner on Saturday. Have a great weekend!

Ingredients:
Stamps: I Loaf You and Shine, Shine Shine: Unity

Cardstock: Stampin' Up
Ink: Momento
Misc: Derwent & Staedtler watercolor pencils, Washi tape: who knows?!

Growing in Unity Girl Week! Day 4!

Thanks for coming back for my 4th day of Growing in Unity!

Once again, I broke out a snarky stamp from an {after dark} set. She Used to Care is a set that just makes me laugh and I imagine a lot of friends would feel the same.

I hope you drop back by again tomorrow for my last GIU day! Have a great one!

Ingredients:
Stamps: She Used to Care: Unity
Paper, Ink, Embossing Paste, Mask: Stampin' Up
Misc: Copics

Growing in Unity Girl Week! Day 3!

Thanks for joining me for my GIU Day 3! It may no longer be Christmas in July but I missed that entirely anyway so Happy Christmas in August!

I love this set, Snowglobe Wonderland. It has a wonderful array of fun images that can be added to the globe to change the look. I went with the city fading into the background with trees in focus.

I clear embossed the glass of the globe, applied a heat and stick powder along with some chunky, holographic glitter, and then put on a layer of clear embossing glaze (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel- UTEE) which is thicker and chunkier than the embossing powder used on the first layer. It's a bit tough to see but the snowglobe and sentiment were raised with dimensionals.

Please join me again tomorrow for day four and don't forget to leave a comment!

Ingredients:
Snowglobe Wonderland: Unity  Sentiment: amuse Stamps
Ink: Stampin' Up
Paper: GCD, SEI, & Stampin' Up
Misc: Copics, Glitter: Martha Stewart, EP: Stampin' Up, UTEE: Tim Holtz

Growing in Unity Girl Week! Day 2!

Welcome back for my GIU week, day two! I'll just jump right into it.

I'm with many others and find mason jar stamps great fun to work with. I love the small ones in Jars of Love x3 and thought about making another shaker with them. Instead, I kept it a bit easier and just used the hearts image that came in the set. I channeled my inner Lisa Frank (if you weren't an avid sticker collector in the 80's and have NO idea who I'm talking about, have a look here and here.)

While it's a bit hard to see here, the jar lids have gold Stickles applied to them and all of the hearts have been coated with Wink of Stella.

I hope you've enjoyed this! Please stop back by tomorrow for another project.

Ingredients:
Stamps: Jars of Love x3

Paper & Ink: Stampin' Up
Misc: Watercolor pencils, Wink of Stella, Stickles

Growing in Unity Girl Week! Day 1!

I didn't have the chance to do this last year but I'm excited to be back as a Growing in Unity Girl for 2017. I'll be sharing a project each day this week featuring Unity stamps. I hope you stick with me for the entire week and enjoy what I share. At the end of the week I'll draw two winners from all of the comments left on the posts and they'll each get a bundle of goodness from Unity!

I have to warn, I'm a huge fan of the Unity {after dark} stamps so some of my projects will be rather "cheeky."

For my first project, this is a stamp I got a while back that I thought would go beautifully with a shaker. How better to share happy dust than to send starry sparkles?

I hope you pop back tomorrow to see what I have to share for day 2!

Ingredients:
Stamp: Happy Dust: Unity

Inks & Paper: Stampin' Up
Misc: Bokeh stencils: Simon Says Stamp

Hey! I'm back! Again!!

Well, I didn't get off my non-crafting duff for quite a while and instead simply accumulated more and more goodies through the Stampin' Up club I'm a member of. However, that all changed in January when it was my turn to host. It turned out to be WAY more sensible for me to sign up to be a demonstrator and take advantage of some Stampin' Up promotions that were going on rather than just placing my hostess order. So, now I'm apparently a demonstrator. lol! I've been working at getting this little business off the ground by starting with Paper Pumpkin. A lot of people say they can't craft and Paper Pumpkin, which has come a LONG way in its four years, is good at proving those folks wrong. From here, we'll just see where it goes. I'm hopeful but not holding my breath. I'll just enjoy the ride while it lasts. I am looking forward to checking out On Stage next week, Stampin' Up's semi-annual demonstrator convention. In the meantime, these are some cards and projects I made as giveaways for anyone who purchased something at my Paper Pumpkin Open House the other week.
