I picked up this great die from Papertrey Ink. I thought it might be a bit of a pain to piece but it really wasn't a big deal. I ran a tape runner over a piece of plain paper a bit smaller than the die and used it as a backer to hold the whole thing together. Yeah, a Xyron treatment would have been easier but I'd have to have one big enough and running the snail over a piece of paper smaller than 3x4 wasn't an issue. The nice thing is that one run of the die cuts pieces for 3 versions- the balloons, the background, and the edges.
These last two are simply the completed die cut pieces that I haven't mounted onto cards. I'm going to chew a bit on what to do with them before doing it. :)
The inspiration for these was this lovely challenge piece at
Papertrey. I tried to stick to the colors and even a bit the general area the colors were on the piece.
